We take our responsibility to our employees, customers, suppliers, and the workers in our supply chains very seriously. We recognize that our business can influence positive change in our industry. Improving both working conditions and the livelihoods of workers and their families in our sourcing communities is important to us.

CHILD AND YOUNG LABOUR CODE OF CONDUCT

Child labour (under 15) shall not be used. Young workers shall not work more than 40 hrs/week

EMPLOYMENT IS FREELY CHOSEN

Employment is freely chosen, employment involuntarily or by force is unacceptable

FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION

Employers shall respect the right of its employees to associate, organise themselves or elect their own representatives, without any form of sanction as a consequence of this. All workers have the right to elect or to be elected and express themselves freely within local laws and regulations without any discrimination

WORKING CONDITIONS ARE SAFE AND HYGIENIC

A safe and hygienic working environment shall be provided. Adequate steps shall be taken to prevent accidents and injury to health arising out of, associated with, or occuring in the course of work by minimising, so far as is reasonably practicable, the causes of hazards inherent in the workplace.

Health & Safety training should be conducted regularly with all workers. Trainings shall be recorded

Unlimited drinking water should be provided. Hygiene needs shall be provided for in the workplace, canteen and toilets

MINIMUM WAGE SHOULD BE PAID

Minimum wage should be paid for regular work 45 hours/ week. Payments shall be on time and conform to local legislation

WORKING HOURS ARE NOT EXCESSIVE

Regular working hours are 45hrs/week, 225hrs/month and workers shall be provided at least 1 day off in every 7-day period

All overtime shall be voluntary and conform to local legislation, Overtime shall not be more than 12hrs/ weekly, 60 hrs/monthly and 270hrs annually. It shall not be used to replace regular employment. Overtime shall always be compensated at a Premium rate in accordance with local regulations.

NO DISCRIMINATION IS PRACTISED

There is no discrimination in hiring, compensation, access to training, promotion, termination or retirement based on race, caste, national origin, religion, age, disability, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, union membership or political affiliation.

REGULAR EMPLOYMENT IS PROVIDED

To every extent possible work performed must be on the basis of the recognised employment relationship established through national law and practice

ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS

All activities of the manufacturers and factories shall be performed in a way that fully respects the environment.

MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

The Employer shall comply with all local labour, environmental, health & safety and ethical standards
